In 1997, based on the vision of engaging in progressive commercial activity, GENESIS Pharma took full advantage of new developments in biotechnology. Today, these developments are based on research and knowledge on the human genetic code (DNA) and produce innovative medicines for the treatment of medical conditions that could not be treated in the past. The developments in biotechnology for mankind, was our inspiration.

In reinforcing its role in the market, GENESIS Pharma has accomplished strategic alliances with top American and European biopharmaceutical companies: Amgen, Biogen Idec, Cephalon and Shire, leading companies in the area of biotechnology, entrust GENESIS Pharma for the marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical products, specialised in the treatment of chronic, life-threatening and rare diseases.

We can be proud of our achievements since inception. More recently, from 1999 until today, our turnover increased by an average 75% annually, reaching €132.5 million in 2005. In the coming years we are looking forward to new challenges: share listing on the Athens Stock Exchange to further support and drive our growth plans, continuous regional expansion, engage in new partnerships and product launches, implement operational improvements and more recognition relating to our corporate governance.
