Respecting and improving the quality of life of a fellow human beings is our top priority at GENESIS Pharma, and we are proud to be able to contribute to it. A company's profitability, of course, remains essential to business survival and growth but for socially responsible companies, their social commitment rises above strict commercial concerns.
Corporate Social Responsibility is a prerequisite for the development of modern, vigorous businesses. Our Corporate Social Responsibility programme aims to make a difference in three main areas:
- Health, and helping patients suffering from chronic diseases,
- Children, with special needs or suffering from chronic disease, and promoting sport and athletics for children, and
- Cultural activities.
In an effort to raise awareness on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and provide MS patients with the opportunity to express their creativity in a wider audience, GENESIS Pharma in cooperation with the Hellenic Society for Multiple Sclerosis jointly produced an anthology titled "EMEIS" (the Greek world for "us"), consisting of MS patients' artworks.
In 2004, at the Social Responsibility Forum, organized by THE ECONOMIST, GENESIS Pharma received the "Certificate of Recognition" for the implementation of the company's comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
At GENESIS Pharma, Corporate Social Responsibility means more than an astute business practice; it is a manifestation of our need to make a meaningful contribution. It is simply a part of being civilised.
