GENESIS Pharma is the first pharmaceutical company in Greece to be awarded, for the second consecutive year, in the national Corporate Responsibility Index, receiving a Bronze award for its CSR performance.

This year, GENESIS Pharma also received the special prize “Best progress bronze award”, having achieved the greater progress among the companies in its category, compared to last year’s score.

CR Index is a strategic management tool that serves as the national index to measure company performance in the CR field. Participating companies are evaluated by external assessors against a rigorous and systematic framework that assesses how they perform and the business impact on four key areas: the Environment, Marketplace, Workplace and Community.

This year, 17 companies were awarded in four performance bands according to their overall social and environmental performance: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

In his speech, at the high profile awards ceremony, GENESIS Pharma CEO, Mr Constantinos Evripides stated: “We feel really proud to receive this double distinction today. It is the recognition of our consistent effort to integrate social responsibility principles in everyday operations as well as in our company’s strategic decision-making. Pharmaceutical industry is so closely linked to human life and health, and for us in GENESIS Pharma, this constitutes a great commitment. A commitment that grows along with our company. Although building our CSR strategy has always been a basic concern for us, our efforts have been more intensive during the last 3 years. Our goal is to strengthen and enrich our actions every year.”
