The award ceremony was held on Tuesday, June 18, in Tallinn, Estonia at the 57th European Quality Conference. After winning the “Greek Quality Leader 2012” award, Mr. Evripides received the highest European distinction for commitment to quality by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ): the European Quality Leader award for which 20 Quality Leaders from around Europe where nominated.
This rewarding is a recognition of Mr. Constantinos Evripides’ management philosophy, but also of the success of GENESIS Pharma, a company that has recorded significant growth over the years mainly by investing in quality, excellence and innovation. The European Organization for Quality, EOQ, honored him for his vision and personal commitment to quality, his overall performance and career in the pharmaceutical market and his contribution to the creation of a Greek company which has succeeded, in just 16 years after its foundation, to be among the leading companies in the Greek market, with local and international recognition. The judges assessed the company with particular emphasis on the business decisions that led to ensuring its sustainable growth, during the Greek crisis.
The Quality Leader award follows a series of national and European corporate distinctions and certifications granted to GENESIS Pharma for its growth and productivity rates and its commitment to innovation, corporate responsibility and good working environment as well as Mr. Evripides’ personal awards such as the “Dynamic Entrepreneur of the Year” granted to him in 2006 by Ernst & Young.
In his acceptance speech, he stated: “The focus on quality, excellence and innovation automatically gives a company the competitive advantage it needs, either in the domestic or in the global market. When we decided to create a Greek pharmaceutical start-up, we had the vision to create, not necessarily the biggest but the best pharmaceutical company in Greece, with solid foundation that could offer us prospects in the European market. Our commitment to quality has been a key component of our corporate philosophy from day one. It is our compass, helping us to be better and better every day, even when market conditions are not favorable”.
The Quality Leader of the Year award is an annual European competition taking place by the European Organization for Quality since 2002 while, at national level, it is organized by the Hellenic Management Association (HMA).
